List Building Tips- All Lists Are Not Equal...
Hi,
There's a lot of talk about building your own list in order to be successful online. The problem is all list are not equal! It's not just the size of your list that matters but also the quality of the prospects or custormer on your list.
Early in my network marketing experience i built a list using a free lead capture page and prospecting system that was 100% free... I use this system for a year advertising using safe lists and traffic exchanges. I had a list of over 1200 people in my auto responder series. My list although large was composed of people with the wrong mindset. They all join my list because it was free. Because it was free they were looking for something for nothing.
When i sent offers that cost some money the people on the list failed to respond. They only responded to freebies. They would even comment on my blog post because they were only in it to get something for nothing. I had a list but not all lists are equal.
The other mistake i made was not having an email series that was valuable. The email series was just a series of emails with psychological triggers to get people on the list to buy one the affiliate products using the "upsale technique". It really didn't solve their main problem of not understanding how to market products online or offline. The list started shrinking as members kept getting hammered with reasons they should upgrade. All lists you see are not equal.
Not only did my list have people looking for freebies, no value but trying to get my list to buy, but the length of my list was just "seven emails long". What a joke...i hammered the list for 2 weeks and it was over. Yep...that's what the person who give me the "free viral prospecting system" had convinced me what i needed.Guess what...all lists are not equal.
If you want a responsive lists, stay away from free prospecting system, provide value to your list and make sure your list has 6 months to 1 year of emails to give value and build trust. If you don't you would have wasted your time and money to find out the real deal, all lists are not equal.
Keeping it real!
James
